MapLiver Terms of Use

App Features and Important Notes

1. This app is available only to users aged 17 or older who agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
2. Registration requires only a nickname and an email address. Other users will see only your nickname for safety.
3. The app never shows previously uploaded photos or videos. Only currently active users appear on the map for real-time P2P video sharing.
4. Video data transmitted and received is not stored on any servers.
5. If you upload or publish received videos on social media or other platforms, you bear full and sole responsibility.
6. Users located within a 5 km radius (10 km diameter) will not be displayed on the map for safety.
7. If a receiver blocks a sender due to inappropriate content, both users will no longer appear on each other’s maps.
8. We recommend using a stable Wi-Fi connection for live video.
9. Recording and publishing content that can identify individuals (e.g., faces, addresses, license plates) is prohibited if it infringes third-party rights.

Article 1 (Service Description)

1. The App enables users to request live views on a map and exchange one-minute real-time video streams.
2. Video is transmitted directly between users via P2P, and we do not store any video data.
3. We may change, restrict, suspend, or terminate the App at our sole discretion at any time.

Article 2 (Prohibited Acts)

1. Acts violating laws or public order.
2. Recording in no-photography areas (e.g., military bases, courts, airport security zones).
3. Acts infringing privacy rights, portrait rights, or personally identifiable information.
4. Acts infringing copyrights, trademarks, or other rights of third parties.
5. Unauthorized use of videos or data obtained from the App.
6. Harassment, defamation, threats, or discriminatory acts.
7. Unauthorized access or interference with App systems.
8. Reverse engineering or modifying the App.
9. Using a nickname containing private information (real names, phone numbers, emails, SNS IDs).
10. Impersonating any celebrity, company, public figure, or third party.
11. Any act deemed inappropriate by the Company.

Article 3 (Disclaimers)

1. Apple Inc., Google LLC, the Company, and related entities (collectively, the “Exempt Parties”) make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, legality, or safety of any content transmitted through the App.
2. If a user’s video contains identifiable individuals or third-party rights, the user who transmitted such content bears full responsibility.
3. If a recipient (viewer) records, saves, or uploads received footage to social media or any other platform, the uploader bears full and sole responsibility for handling privacy rights, portrait rights, copyrights, trademarks, and all related rights of third parties. The Company, the Exempt Parties, and the original shooter (sender) shall not be liable for any disputes, claims, damages, or legal issues arising from such publication.
4. Any disputes among senders, recipients, uploaders, or third parties shall be resolved solely between the involved parties. The Company and the Exempt Parties will not participate or be held liable in any manner.
5. Watermarked videos do not imply Company endorsement or involvement.
6. The App’s ranking, status, or point systems are for entertainment and may contain errors.
7. The Company and Exempt Parties bear no responsibility for delays, unstable video, or communication fees arising from user environments.

Article 4 (Copyright of Videos)

1. Copyright and all other intellectual property rights belong to the user who recorded the video or the rightful owner.
2. The Company does not acquire any rights to user videos.
3. Users warrant that their videos do not infringe any rights of third parties.
4. Disputes regarding user videos must be resolved solely by the user at their own responsibility and expense.

Article 5 (Revisions)

The Company may revise these Terms at any time. Revised Terms take effect upon publication on our website.

Article 6 (Official Nicknames and Verified Badge)

We may grant certain users an “Official Nickname” or a “Verified Badge (🛡️).” Eligibility is based on identity verification, public trust, contribution to reporting, or community activity.

The Verified Badge may be granted to trusted entities including news organizations, public agencies, companies, creators, and public figures who help convey real-time information.

If we confirm impersonation, fraudulent representation, or misuse of official names, the Company may suspend or delete the account without notice.
